Hadley Duvall is a Kentucky college student who appeared in Gov. Beshear’s pro-abortion ad last year. She’s now speaking at campaign events for President Biden on the second anniversary of the Dobbs decision, where the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Duvall was sadly raped when she was twelve by her stepfather and she miscarried her child. Her message is that abortion is a personal decision and shouldn’t be regulated. However sad and tragic her circumstances are, it’s no serious policy solution to the crime committed against her. Doing away with pro-life protections isn’t the expansion of a right, but the destruction of a principle. This is because abortion doesn’t restore the victim of assault, nor does it make unborn children any safer.
