Highlands Latin School, a classical Christian school in Louisville, lost its 20-year lease with Crescent Hill Baptist Church. This was the result of series of critical stories in the Louisville Courier-Journal attacking Highlands Christian values. The reporting was one-sided and focused on past student complaints. Crescent Hill Baptist, is an apostate church and disaffiliated by the Kentucky Baptist Convention for unbiblical views on human sexuality. So the church now is cutting off its relationship with the school which teaches biblical morals. Highlands is known for its top-tier academics and disciplined environment. Students’s ACT scores average 30, more than 10 points above the state average. The hit piece may have led to Highland’s contract being canceled but its incredible success and Christian values speaks much louder.
