A federal judge blocked Pres. Biden’s executive order that would allow biological males into biological female spaces in public schools. Kentucky Eastern District Court Judge Danny Reeves protected girls’ sports and their locker rooms from the intrusion of boys through an injunction. This was in response to a 15-year-old West Virginia girl who was forced to compete against biological males in track-and-field. Supporters of hard-fought Title IX protections are applauding the move. So are those who see our political system functioning as it should. We have a system of checks and balances. And in this case, the judicial check on executive overreach upholds legislative protections of girls sports.
