If Democrats continue on this path, it will likely cost them the mid-terms as well. Historically, the party out of the White House tends to succeed in the mid- terms. A priority for candidates in both parties should embrace common-sense policies that uphold human dignity, the rule of law, and greater opportunity for every American. Democrats that defy these ideals may find out the hard way next year, that radicalism isn’t what the voters want.
