Endorsement Criteria

Each candidate is sent a questionnaire regarding their positions on issues foundational to the Commonwealth. Candidates who agreed to protect innocent human life, marriage between one man and one woman, religious freedom, and support sound economic policies including opposition to gambling expansion, were considered for endorsement. Voting records, campaign contributions, previous positions publicly taken, and personal history were also taken into consideration for endorsements.

Candidate Forums

Candidate forums are conducted by Richard Nelson, executive director.  State candidates are invited to participate in the forum, some decline or do not respond to the invitation. All recordings are available on the Commonwealth Policy Center website and are televised.

Candidate Interview

Candidate interviews are conducted by Richard Nelson, executive director.  State candidates are invited to participate in the interviews, some decline or do not respond to the invitation. All recordings are available on the Commonwealth Policy Center website and are televised.

Voter Guides

Each candidate is sent a questionnaire regarding their position on issues foundational to the Commonwealth. Questions regarding the protection of innocent human life, marriage between one man and one woman, religious freedom, supporting sound economic policies including opposition to gambling expansion, and other issues currently affecting the Commonwealth. Voting records, campaign contributions, previous positions publicly taken, and personal history may be included.

The guide provides the candidate responses and history, which is disseminated in the media, public mailings, and on the CPC’s website.
