Kentucky’s Gov. Andy Beshear is considered a top Democratic prospect to run for president in 2028. At the Davos World Economic Forum Beshear called himself “pragmatic,” but recent vetoes reveal a radical commitment to woke ideology. Gov. Beshear vetoed a bill protecting the religious rights of counselors at a pro-LGBTQ dinner. The bill (HB 495) also prevents public tax dollars to be used for gender transitions. He also vetoed House Bill 4, which dismantled discriminatory Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies at Kentucky universities and colleges. And he vetoed House Bill 90, which clarifies Kentucky’s abortion law and protects pregnant women in life-threatening situations. While Beshear projects incredible empathy to beleaguered Kentuckians, his far left policies are out of step with most.
