A political bombshell was dropped on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Christine Ford alleged that Kavanaugh attempted to rape her at a party over 30 years ago. This is a serious allegation and if it's true would be disqualifying. But is it a credible allegation? Is there evidence? Are there witnesses? Sen. John Cornyn of Texas said, “The problem is, Dr. Ford can’t remember when it was, where it was, or how it came to be.” If it’s merely an accusation without any evidence, it's dangerous. Such charges could ruin somebody's reputation and career. There's relevant Biblical principle found in the book of Deuteronomy (19:15) “A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established." It may be an old maxim, but it's still very relevant today.
