On July 1, fifty Kentuckians protested outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Louisville and cried “Defund, defund!” They got their wish on July 4, when Donald Trump signed the budget reconciliation bill into law. The bill defunds all Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country for one full year. So why does this matter? The organization is the largest single abortion provider in the nation. It’s also involved with far left politics and promoting gender ideology to young people—all with your tax dollars. And it’s arguably the most controversial group in the nation that receives tax dollars and grant funding. That’s no longer the case. As a result, it’s expected that many affiliates will close their doors across the nation.
