Today is Human Trafficking Awareness Day. The theme is “to reach every victim of trafficking, leave no one behind.” One of 2023’s top movies was called the Sound of Freedom, and it brought attention to the human trafficking trade. It shed light on the darkness of the human heart and the plight of children who were sold as commodities for satiate sick and evil desires. But to know that it’s happening in this country, and that there’s a demand should stir us to our core. The United States is one of the top destinations in the world for child sex trafficking. This should shake us to our core and lead us to do all we can within our power to take a stand against it and intercede for the most vulnerable among us.
