Several tourism organizations have announced the new Kentucky Faith Trail, a group of popular attractions which illustrate our religious heritage. It includes the Creation Museum, the Ark Encounter, and the Abbey of Gethsemane. Additional sites with religious significance could be included like the Cane Ridge Meeting House in Bourbon County, a center of the Second Great Awakening, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, one of the world’s largest. These sites remind us of the rich history of Christianity, how it’s influenced our society, and captured the imagination—and all if it right here in the commonwealth. The Kentucky Faith Trail is a worthy endeavor and we can all be grateful that tourism commissions are recognizing the importance of the Christianity here in Kentucky.
