Ohio voters enshrined the right to abortion in their state constitution. The amendment overturns a ban on abortions once a heartbeat is detected. It even goes so far as to allow for an abortion at any stage of the pregnancy, even if the unborn child is viable. Millions of dollars were poured into the campaign to confuse and scare Ohio voters. Unfortunately, many voters fell for the lie that a mother has a constitutional right to end the life of their child. Some Republicans are pointing fingers at pro-lifers as to why they lost last week. The challenge for the pro-life community is to recalibrate and get its footing after the Dobbs decision put abortion back into the hands of the state. And it must press on if a culture of life is to be restored.
