The interim CEO of the Louisville Urban League (Lyndon Pryor) said anti-DEI rhetoric makes Kentucky a less attractive place to live to potential residents. I’ve heard similar arguments from an ACLU representative, who said that since Kentucky does not allow abortions, it makes it less attractive to medical professionals to practice here. But is this true? I thought the things that make Kentucky a great place to live are job opportunities, a great place to raise a family, fairly reasonable taxes. How about the hospitality of Kentuckians? And the great climate and beautiful country that were in? If anything, pushing far left values into everything repulses people. Politics has its place, but pushy politics is more likely to keep people away than to bring them in.
