A women’s rights activist faced backlash in New Zealand for making the audacious claim that men can’t be women. Posie Parker came to New Zealand as part of her world tour to speak about women’s rights, but instead was met with harsh resistance from LGBTQ activists. At a rally of mostly men, she was doused with tomato juice and escorted away by police due to safety concerns. Is this what tolerance is supposed to look like? A woman being silenced by men for defining what a woman is? While the left pushes the mantra of tolerance, they often fail to practice it. On the other hand, there is a tolerance rooted in humility and respect for fellow image bearers. It’s a tolerance based on goodwill and one we must rediscover if civility is to be reclaimed.
