Should controversial books that promote LGBT activity be banned from school libraries? That is the question several states are wrestling with, including Kentucky. I recently debated a representative from the ACLU, who was opposed to removing these books. She cried censorship and asked “where do you draw the line?” My response was to point to excerpts from the book All Boys Aren’t Blue. It contained pornographic and obscene images of homosexual acts between minors. I had shared that if the TV station had broadcast a picture from that book over the airwaves, the station would have received an FCC violation. How much more egregious to expose children these images in our public schools? When it comes to protecting our kids, we need to start somewhere. And it starts with obscene books.
