A recent survey found that 70% of Jewish college students in America feel less safe on their campus after Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel. Anti-semitism has become a serious problem on many campuses and many Jewish students are the victims of verbal and physical attacks. Now some faculty and administration have even joined in the hatred. The latest example is at Texas Tech University, where a professor posted a profanity-laced rant against Israel on social media. He was eventually suspended. Columbia University recently hosted an event with an anti-Israel group designated as a terror organization. No wonder Jewish students don’t feel safe on college campuses. Now is the time for university leaders to condemn anti-semitism and ensure their campuses are safe for all people.
