The director of a documentary that purported widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election is walking back his claims. Dinesh D’Souza acknowledged that some information in his film 2000 Mules was not accurate. It’s not the first time D’Souza has been in trouble with the law regarding election activity. The film rolled footage of a Georgia man purportedly engaging in voter fraud. The man then sued D’Souza and Salem Media Group, which settled out of court. D’Souza peddled conspiracies without evidence. And now he owes both this man and the general public an apology for failing to properly check his claims. One lesson we learn is that the truth matters. And serious allegations should be supported with the strongest of evidence.
