A case out of Texas has [advocates for common sense] up in arms. It involves a mother who wants to transition her seven-year-old son James into a girl she calls “Luna.” The father objected. In fact, he circulated a petition to stop this. All of it received widespread media attention but this didn’t stop a Texas jury from awarding the mother sole conservatorship of the son and to allow the transition to continue. The case is troubling. Seven-year-old boys shouldn’t be forced into gender transitions. Mothers who push to hormonally and physically alter the natural gender of their children aren’t good moms. And dads who want to protect their sons from gender transition should be applauded, not attacked and vilified by attorneys. Hopefully the verdict will be appealed.
