Google has been criticized for anti-conservative bias. Now, state’s attorney generals’ are forming a coalition to investigate the world’s largest Internet-related company. If you’ve ever done an internet search, you’ve probably used Google. In fact, the term google is synonymous with searching the internet. But the Tech Giant has been accused of engaging in anticompetitive practices. Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear joined 49 other attorney generals to determine whether Google is violating federal antitrust laws. Beshear said that he wants to “make sure Kentuckians’ privacy and online freedoms have not been undermined.” Of course, Google is a wealthy business and will push back. But exposing Google’s bottleneck of the internet and ensuring fair competition benefits everyone who depends on it, which is pretty much all of us.
