Sexual Harassment Saga Continues November 28, 2017 by Staff

The number of high-profile and powerful men charged with sexual harassment is staggering. The latest include Minnesota Senator Al Franken and TV host Charlie Rose. In Kentucky, Gov. Bevin has renewed calls for the resignation of legislators in his own party who've settled sexual harassment claims. What we're seeing is a pushback against demeaning behavior that has been accepted for far too long. We're also seeing healthy boundaries put back in place—boundaries that have been blurred by the mainstreaming of pornography and widespread objectification of women. It's no coincidence that within weeks of Hugh Hefner's death, we saw women come forward with stories of harassment and abuse. The sexual harassment saga is far from over but if anything we're reminded that what is done in the dark will be brought to the light.
