The American College of Physicians Stand Against Assisted-suicide October 5, 2017 by Staff

The American College of Physicians took a bold stand against physician-assisted suicide. The group said assisted suicide "raises ethical, clinical, and other concerns." And that "Control over the manner and timing of a person’s death has not been and should not be a goal of medicine." This is big news coming from the second largest network of physicians in the nation. The group reminds us that "effective communication, compassionate support, and the right resources," can better help patients "live out life’s last chapter.” When a life ends, is a chapter for God to write, not us. It's refreshing to see this group of doctors focus on pain alleviation instead of pushing suicide on patients. It's true compassion and good medicine.
